Fundraising
This is a great area, and we are sure every band will be willing to share their successful fundrasing ideas or projects.

Victorian Murder Mystery Dinner
Queen City Rainbow Band, Cincinnati. Ohio
This fundraiser was one of our most successful. We found 8 well-known community "personalities" to volunteer as the "over the top" actors. They were rehearsed by another volunteer who wrote the script. A local costume shop donated their Victorian costumes, and band members cooked the food and "worked" the event. Because of the combined dinner/ entertainment value, tickets were $75. We sold out, due to the size limits of the historic home. We could only offer 40 tickets (that was in publicity, too). We added a raffle (of a musician-created piece of stained glass) in the mailing. With the addition of the raffle, after costs we cleared $3,050. Photos.
